Brendan & Molly Curnyn

Husband and wife team Molly and Brendan Curnyn are self-taught chefs with a passion for food. The New Jersey natives spent years working as motor yacht crew in the Bahamas and Caribbean before moving to Wilmington to start their own business. CheeseSmith was born in 2018 as a food truck and quickly became one of Wilmington’s most loved food trucks. In 2020, the couple transformed the concept into a brick-and-mortar restaurant and retired the food truck entirely. CheeseSmith now has two locations in Wilmington. When they’re not working, you’ll likely find Molly and Brendan at the beach or enjoying some downtime at one of their favorite local spots like Fermental or Salita Pizza.
