Seth Penner and Chris Tolbert

Circle Pit BBQ is a small but mighty new pop-up led by Chris Tolbert and Seth Penner. Both have spent the better part of 16 years working in the service industry in downtown Wilmington and have a passion for food and music. Circle Pit started as an ode to the Port City’s food, people and its deep roots in the punk and metal music scene. Circle Pit takes a DIY hardcore approach to southern and regional dishes, influenced by world travels and growing up in the Cape Fear region.
